Pedigree

Winnie is by the late  Latcho Drom’s Caymus, a multiple Get of Sire winner on the show circuit. His foals are taking the show world by storm! Her dam is our mare Rose Petal. Her DNA verified grandparents are the late Latcho Drom, Shampoo Girl, the late Cushti Bok (the first Gypsy Vanner stallion to set foot in America) and the late Gypsy Gold’s Rose. DNA confirmed great-grandparents are The Lion King and The Old Horse of Wales. This girl is a virtual Who’s Who of the Gypsy Vanner world. Farther back, her pedigree includes Romany Rye/The White Horse, The Lob Eared Horse, The Road Sweeper and The Pride Horse.

Training

Winnie has mastered all the yearling basics. She halters, leads, picks up her feet, stands nicely for the farrier, stands for clippers and fly spray, stands tied, is easy to bathe (and loves to play in the water) and loads in and out of the trailer. She has already been on several trailer rides. She has also been ponied from a horse being ridden and worked on an obstacle course (nothing on it fazes her). We are amazed at how smart and willing she is! Winnie is also very used to having children around.

Showing

Winnie has attended two local shows, an Obstacle Challenge and the Florida Feathered Horse Classic in January. Winnie has been consistently placing in the ribbons at these shows. Better yet, she has a great attitude while she is out and seems to enjoy showing. We will continue showing Winnie at local shows until she is sold.

Expectations

At 12 months, Winnie stands 13.1 hands and weighs 750 pounds. We expect her to mature around 14.1 hands. Her dam is 14h, her sire is 14.3h and her full brother is 14h. We have a half-sister to Winnie on site (Glory), as well as her dam and her aunt. Both of her half sisters have been showing and coming home in the ribbons. Glory even won Reserve Champion Three Year Old Mare at the FHC Nationals! We expect no less from this filly. With a great body, great markings, and a party tail, this girl is the whole package!

Other

Winnie is Heterozygous tobiano and homozygous black. She is up to date on farrier, dewormer, vaccinations and has a current negative Coggins.
