Sunny is by BB King, sire of many show winners, including multi-grand champion B B A Diva and Sunny’s full sister, National Reserve Champion three year old mare The King’s Morning Glory. Her dam is Rose Petal. Her DNA verified grandparents are the late The Gypsy King, Shampoo Girl, the late Cushti Bok (the first Gypsy Vanner stallion to set foot in America) and the late Gypsy Gold’s Rose. DNA confirmed great-grandparents are The Lion King and The Old Horse of Wales. This girl is a virtual who’s who of pedigree in the Gypsy Vanner world. Farther back, her pedigree includes Romany Rye/The White Horse, The Laughing Horse, The Walking Bank, The Lob Eared Horse, The Road Sweeper, and The Pride Horse.
Training:
Sunny has mastered all the youngster basics. She halters, leads, picks up her feet, stands nicely for the farrier, stands for clippers and fly spray, stands tied, is easy to bathe (and loves to play in the water too!) and loads in and out of the trailer. She has already been on a couple of rides. She has also been ponied from a horse being ridden and worked on an obstacle course (nothing on it fazes her.) We are amazed at how smart and willing she is! Sunny is also very used to having children around. Sunny is turning three and is ready to start under saddle or driving!
Expectations:
At 2 1/2 years, Sunny stands 14.1hh and weighs 800+ lbs. We expect Sunny to mature to around 14.2hh. Her dam is 14hh, sire is 14.2, and full sister is is 14.2 1/2hh. Sunny is heterozygous tobiano and homozygous black. All three of Sunny’s maternal half sisters have been shown and won ribbons in the show ring! Sunny’s full sister Glory rides English & Western, drives, does obstacle shows and halter. We expect no less from this filly. With a great mind, great body, great markings, double mane and a blue eye this girl is the whole package!
