The Gypsy Gold Family
With our many Gypsy Vanner horses, mules, donkeys, exotic birds, and more, it literally “takes a village” to keep everything in sync at Gypsy Gold Horse Farm. We appreciate every person who devotes their time and talent to keeping things running smoothly here all year long.
While Dennis and Erin are the movers and shakers of the overall plan, Stallion Manager Gabrielle Gonzales has been with us more than 15 years.
Gabriel Gonzales has been our number 1 hand at Gypsy Gold since 2014. We couldn’t manage the farm without him!
Also assisting us with marketing and communications is Erin’s sister, Eileen Mahoney.

Critical to the operation are our Trainer, Erica Wagner, who also manages the online store and our office staff, as well as assistant Taylor Mulholland, our bookkeeper, who also handles assorted projects on request. And of course our team of volunteers—Don & Janet Gouldsmith, Stevie, and Trish.

In mid-2026, we added a vital role to our staff and are so pleased to welcome Erica Wagner to the Gypsy Gold family!
Not only does she train horses, she is also managing our staff and the online store. Her professional qualifications include—
- USEF Professional, USDF Silver Medalist and FEI Dressage Rider
- Pre-approved candidate for the USDF “L” Education (Judges) Program
- Classically trained by a founding rider of the French Classical School of Saumur
- Completed a seasion of international riding in Portugal
- Extensive training in equine biomechanics, in-hand work, longlining, lunging, and ground driving
- Experienced in starting and developing young horses
- Former high hunter/jumper competitor
- Experience training and coaching across multiple disciplines, including dressage and western foundations
- Certified Veterinary Technician
- Degree in Ornithology/Avian Specialist

Located on 40 acres in Ocala, Florida, Gypsy Gold’s facility features a 14 stall show barn, and a 12 stall bedding-free barn, surrounded by 21 lush paddocks, dotted with ancient granddaddy oaks, and draped in Spanish moss. Private trails, hilltop views, and many gorgeous backdrops are here for the remaining foundation herd of Gypsy Vanners. Beautiful Fair Hill is the final resting place for America’s first and most legendary Gypsy Vanner Horses.
